When a child is marked absent, their parents get a message in their own language: in the app, as a notification on their phone, and by email. Absence alerts can’t be switched off.

One search box covers students, parents and staff. Type a name in Arabic or Latin letters, a student number or a phone number: “benali” finds Bénali, and “احمد” finds أحمد.

Teachers and staff belong in the school’s records whether or not they ever sign in. What someone can do comes from their role, not from their file.
Your school’s data never mixes with another school’s, and that separation is checked twice: in the app and in the database. Mseed also asks only for what a school genuinely needs to know about a child.
Bring your student and parent lists as they are, in CSV or Excel. Mseed reads column names in Arabic, French or English and dates written day first. You see every row before anything is saved, and whatever it can’t read is flagged, never quietly dropped.

Mseed starts with a pilot in a handful of schools. The first list is what the pilot covers; the second comes after it, in that order.
Only to use the parent portal. A parent without one is still in your records, and once SMS and WhatsApp arrive after the pilot, the school can reach them there.
Arabic and French, and English too. Everyone picks their own language; until they do, Mseed uses the school’s.
Mseed is built for the connections schools actually have: pages are light and try again on their own when the network comes back. The gate scanning page, coming after the pilot, even works offline.
Only staff whose role allows it, and parents only for their own children. Every change to a record is logged with the name of whoever made it.
